MUSICAL DIRECTOR

Nicholas, a Rhode Island baritone, has established himself as a voice upon the concert stage and at the conductor's pulpit. He holds a M.M. from McGill University and a B.M from The University of New Hampshire both in Solo Performance. Nicholas was selected as the musical director of The Chorus of Kent County in 2012.

ACCOMPANIST

Chika began her musical training in Japan at the age of three, where she achieved success in several youth piano competitions. She currently serves as a collaborative pianist for the University of Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Children's Chorus, several schools and private studios, and regularly performs with choirs, instrumentalists, and soloists throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. In addition to piano, Chika is an accomplished violinist who performs with orchestras throughout southern New England and frequently provides music for weddings, memorial services, and other special events. She is passionate about music education and serves as a string instructor with the Bristol Community String Project, where she teaches viola classes, and is also a private piano instructor at Luca Music in Middletown, Rhode Island. Outside of music, Chika enjoys all things Harry Potter, candles, and chocolate. Having previously performed with The Chorus of Kent County as a violinist, Chika is especially honored and excited to return as the chorus's accompanist for the 2026–2027 season.
